Success Stories

Seereal autostereoscopy 3D display technology can be applied to countless tasks. The benefit of depth adds  true value to where ever complex structures are visualised and analysed. The following Success Stories show how our customers have benefited from SeeReal monitors.

Has one of our monitors already proven its value to you? Then we would really like to hear from you and perhaps, with your permission, publish another Success Story about it. Please don't hesitate to contact us.

Medicine
  • Medical Image Processing in Neurosurgery, TU Dresden
The use of the system with a 3D display allows for the three-dimensional visualization of complex scenarios which can be manipulated interactively. This ensures a more accurate pre-operative analysis of spatial relations and also eases post-operative analysis.

  • Interactive 3D visualization of different tissue types
Tempo Review of the University of Manchester is an interactive 3D visualization application primarily for viewing different tissue types acquired from patient specific data. The SeeReal 3D display enables the clinician to interact with the data in true 3D.

  • Microscopic eye surgery and real time recording
Microscopic eye surgery requires a precise, detailed three-dimensional view of the operating field.  A project with SeeReal Technologies enabled visualisation by using a 3D display which allows the doctor to move naturally while working. Additionally, a software made it possible to store video data directly during surgery on a normal PC.

  • Computer-aided navigation in liver surgery
The BMBF - "ARION" project of German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) Heidelberg investigates possibilities of computer-aided navigation in liver surgery. By using the 3D display from SeeReal Technologies, the “ARION” project provides the surgeon with an extremely real and three-dimensionally adequate image.

    • 3D Cartography:  1st prize for "True 3D Atlas"
The visualisation of geodata by means of the 3D display offers users of cartographic material an extra dimension of information, in the true sense of the word. The real three-dimensional impression that arises spontaneously will lead to a better understanding of the displayed landscapes and environmental phenomena.

    • Creating high-resolution 3D structures of macromolecular complexes
At Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, the 3D display makes it possible to truly grasp the  high-resolution 3D structure of a macromolecular complex threedimensionally. It enormously simplifies the process of placing the already knownpart structures at their correct position because only now it is possible to actually perceive the depth of the structure. The software that has been used up to now can be kept without any limitations and no extra costs will arise.
